So who names their fish?

My nieces named the fish they could tell apart, which wasn't much lol. We HAD (Restarted my tank all over):

Poni the Geophageus (his face did look horse-like, with an I after a famous Albanian singer lol)
Nemo the Bolivian Ram (no idea where he got his name but the kids swore he kind of looked like a clown fish lol)
Eyeball the Dwarf Gourami (who only had one eyeball hahaha)
Dory the angelfish (I guess in some odd twisted way she looked like Dory - not really!)

My little niece just pointed at them and yelled FISHY! *SHRIEK!* lol it was so cute... they'll have a ton of fun naming the ones I am getting considering everything is going to be in schools hahahah (I'm an evil aunt:devil:)
 
some of mine have names.

monster is my lungfish
the angelfish is named spike
my cory's name is cory
pleco's name is plecy
my blue yabbie's name is blue guy
one snail is named squirms
my first kuhli's name is eelie and i can tell it's her cause she's a different species
the rest are nameless.
 
My daughter, age 4, named 2 of our platys.....Joe and JoeMama.
 
All my fish have names. I named my shrimp too! In retrospect it was sort of pointless to name them...as when they molt they look completely different lol. A couple always look the same: Priscilla a saddled female who never puts out, Elvis a giant male, and Spot..because he has spots lol! My unique snails have names, the Clithons are named Sidecar and Pedroxh (silent xh), and some of my clear pond snails and bigger ramshorns are named Penny, Orangensaft, and Creeper.
 
I name the ones I can distinguish...

Isa, Boots, the Big Red Chicken~ Dora the Explorer characters
Shiny Poptart~one wanted to name her shiny, the other wanted poptart so we have Shiny Poptart.

I named-
Buddy~I found myself saying "hey buddy" every time I went up to see him/feed him. He greets me everytime so I thought it only polite to greet him back. :)

Pearly~ It just sounded good to me with her coloring. She's one of my fav Platies.

Yue~ This one is going to make me sound like a bigger dweeb than I already do. LOL Yue (pronounced "you-ay") was the name of the character on Avatar that turned into the moon spirit. Which was represented with a silver koi. :lol2:

My betta's name is Betta Boop, I had a 3-lined cory named Big Fin, and when I only had one corydoras virginiae his name was Big Spazz, but now I have 7 of those so I just call them all Big Spazz since I can't tell him from the others.. plus they're all really big spazzes haha

My gold apple snail is called Goldy & my jade apple snail is called JD. I'm so creative! Oh and my female cherry shrimp are all called Big Red Momma and all the males are Little Dude.
 
Yes. My children have named the BKG (Casper) and we have seven clown loaches the largest is named (Norman) they are referred to as Norman and the gang. The female breeding discus is named Artilla the Harriet (because she is a B1tch). The other don't have names.
