Soapdoctors tank

There's actually a pipeline under the substrate on that mario tank too.....and everything is made of custom painted legos. XD

But the back on your tank looks great! And sounds super convenient! Can't wait to see how it turns out! (Oh and welcome to aquaria....I'm sure you'll be addicted like the rest of us in no time!)

As far as stocking goes, I'd do three fancy goldfish. But I'm a goldfish nut. I love em, they're so full of personality and so adorable!!! Plants are hit and miss though with them, cause they LOVE to eat!!! There are some plants that are more goldfish-appropriate than others, so that just involves a bit of research and trial and error. It also depends on the fish. Some people have no problems at all and some have one that eats just about anything. I hear hornwort tends to work though, and you could always keep some plants in there as an extra veggie source if you really wanted. Apparently duckweed is goldfish crack. I don't do plants in my goldie tank, just cause I don't want the extra work, and I have one who uproots all my plastic plants so I doubt live ones would be different. Just my two-cents. Good luck, and post lots of pictures!!! :)

Got my light in today. 36" Finnex Ray2.

As you can see, I'm doing a good job raising my test kit and a thermometer. Pretty much impossible to take pics of, especially with the phone. Thing is insanely bright. Looks like I'll be planning on a high light tank.

With the light I (actually the wife did) noticed 2 little air bubbles between the glass and the plasti-dip. I guess this weekend or next I will get shots of me peeling off the back for you folks.

Tank looks awesome! I'm a perfectionist too, so I would be in the same peeling off situation as you haha. @StarSapphire a 40 breeder is too small for 3 goldfish - especially full grown.

Thanks. I'm not really a perfectionist but the little things get to me. The big things not so much.

Just knowing those spots are there is driving me up the wall even though I'm not using the tank yet.

Taking it very slow. Probably next year before mine is actually setup. Under the guise of "my sons tank" I've got a 10 gallon, supposedly cycling, for a test run. He's pretty excited about it and seems used to the fact there are no fish in the tank.

Only thing left, besides some neon tetras (his choice) is a little lego diving crew.

EDIT: Obviously everything but the water and possibly the sand is fake in there.
