I set up a 5 gallon tank for my 5 year old in her room. Three male guppies. I check the fish often and I am the one to feed them but I don't spend large amounts of time watching them. Today I did. I am feelling sick and I've layed in her bed watching the fish a lot today. They are spastic little things. They don't ever slow down! I didn't find it relaxing to watch them. I remember my brother's fish tanks were so relaxing to watch.
Is this typical for guppies? They have been in there for a few months now and seem perfectly healthy. I've got some artificial plants and a few live ones. They don't seem interested in the cover at all, prefering to just swim, swim, swim!
I also noticed that the two that are most similar in looks seem to interact with each other more than the third one. They swim after each other and occasionally swim towards each other, never touching nor seeming aggressive, just like they pal around together.
