I feel like I am getting close to being ready to add some shrimp. I had someone send me some (too much) naja grass for them to hide in. Hopefully it will be controllable. I just need to get the auto water change plumbing (consistency!) done in the sump, then I will find some cherry reds.

Well, najas looks good, so far. Just be ready to weed it out as needed. I like your tank!

I have just been stuffing it in the back, and netting the loose stuff.

    Thanks, I like it too.

I finally feel like I have enough plants after receiving some nice Java ferns today. Need to let it grow out a little more, then tidy it up a bit.

I'm out of town this week, so I will try to get the sump plumbing finished this weekend, then maybe buy some shrimp in a couple of weeks.

Finally have the overflow on the sump plumbed and a close water outlet installed. Slowly transitioning from softened water to u softened. About a day and a half in and all is going well. I did notice that not long after seeing water on the drain, there was also some duckweed that the overflow ate.:)

A couple of days into the auto water change system and my tank is looking great. Water is super clear, and the light even looks brighter. Now I can see all of the maintenance I need to do.

    Looking good!

What's the neon green piping? I don't remember seeing that before.

Lol, that's just a garden hose that I was using to make the python reach the display tank. It all gets coiled up and thrown under the utility sink, where the drain is.

Added 30 CRS juvies today, some Indian almond leaves, a couple pieces of Cholla wood and 3 wads of Java moss. I really need to do some maintenance, but I just sit and stare at this point.
