Okay i bought this stupid Coralife Aqualight Digital Power Center from Petsmart and have tried reprogramming it multiple times in different methods to no avail. I contacted the manufacturer and tried following their instructions but even that didnt seem to help... :irked:

Basically from what I understand you have to have the unit set to off to program and then tell it when to turn the day lights on and off and when to turn the night lights on and off, then the following day it will start to follow that programmed cycle in Auto mode. Set mine to have day on 9am off 9pm, night on 9pm off midnight. When set to auto the day lights shut off and kick on the night lights no matter what time of day it seems. :wall:

Anybody have any luck programming this thing?:help2:

I'm not quite understanding your problem. The daylights are working, but your night lights are not?

If set to auto mode the daylights stay off no matter what and only night lights stay on... I have been using it manually since day one, which is stupid because the thing was like $30-40 specifically to be automatic

I've tried to use one of those in the past, seems like every time we would have a brown-out which is not a rare thing in these parts all my pre-sets would go off, like they were erased which I guess made sense. Gave up and went with the analog type, with the pins you push in or out, works with a lot less headaches. Wish I could help with your digital unit, but I tossed mine out of exasperation and will not try another similar Coralife unit.

yeah I had it in the off position and hit the PRGRM button and input the times just like the manual suggested, finished and hit CLOCK to finalize... nothing works right.

I don't have a Corallife strip, but I do have one that looks just like it. You need to have it on,before you put it into the auto mode. So you cannot start it in auto mode until it is past the time for it to turn on.

I'm using 2 of the digital power centers on my reef-in-progress and had no problems. AFAIK you cannot set an off time for the night lights though. If the daylight outlets are on the night outlets are off, and vice versa.
