Symphysodon aequifasciatus (Discus)

Ed - I have kept them before but well over 15 years ago and back then i had a crappy strain and they never really seemed healthy basically around the time frame i switched to all Africans (Haps, Tangs and Mbuna) so my experience level with them personally is very limited.. But i have been keeping fish for 29 years.. Before the Discus and Africans i was into Salt water and Central Americans..

Roy - The only thing the person that i got them from was that he got them off the internet so not sure on what strain they are, i do know that the photos of these guys aren't that great because when you look at them in the tank they are all blue i guess the flash is messing with the colors a bit.. The guy who had them is going off to college for a few years and wanted me to keep them so basically if he wants them back when he is finished i would be glad to give them back to him but a lot can happen in a few years..

Gabe thanks bro well of course if they breed i would be glad to send you some fry..

Well I've been wanting to do something with my 135 gallon that isn't gonna be a constant clean up of debris like it is with my Pleco's right now and I don't want nothing mean that is gonna have to be solo or just a pair. I got my L-160's that I will keep in there along with maybe my gibbiceps. The rest I wanna try to part with eventually. So only free swimming fish I'll have in there will be my Prochilodus rubrotaeniatus unless I could figure out a species of Crypto or Thori that would get along with the discus. I got several to choose from right now. I would love to see them in my 135 it is what I want to be my focal point when you enter my room. Just need to make a new aquarium stand don't like how mine looks.

Def you would be able to find something to go in there man..

More photos

I was thinking about adding one more to this group of 7 maybe a red color to break up all of the blue..
