In the realm of SW I'm still a newbie myself, although that meanie Niko won't let me play the newbie games. :silly:

My tank is still a bit foggy and it dosen't seem to be clearing out. It been about a day and a half since I put the water in. I was thinking of putting a gym sock on the pipe that is dumping into the sump. Q1 do you think that will work? Q2 Is there any reson to worry about doing that? I do plan on getting a polishing sock soon but can't get out there today. I just wanted to see if I could try the gym sock for now.

No, I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think a gym sock would be fine enough to catch the small particles. That is why polishing socks are made.
I wouldn't do it personally. You don't know what detergents are on the gym sock that will go into your tank. Chances are you would do more harm than good.
Reefs.. all fun and games until you get to a point that requires waiting. If your going this crazy now, how are you gonna be in 30 days? LOL.
