Made some changes to the tank. Got some new plants in last week and I just wasn't feeling the right side of the 'scape any more, so I spent pretty much all of this past weekend redoing it.

I like it alot. Watch those angels with those embers though. I had to move what was left of my embers to a another tank when my angels started growing.

Indeed I am keep an eye on the number of embers I have in the tank. And I'm also keeping the angels well-fed. For now, the embers are too big to fit into the angel's mouths.

it's been a long time since I've posted an update.

maybe about a month or so ago:

Ultimately, that E. schlueteri sword got way too big lol. It was choking out the light from half of my tank so it had to go. Luckily, there was a SCAPE member who was looking for a big sword so she took it off my hands.

Unfortunately, pulling out the sword took out half my tank as well. That thing had a serious root structure.

Plus I've got a bunch of new wood as the old stuff was covered with BBA and clado.

So I ended up redoing my tank...again.

Still waiting for my foreground (E./H. tenellus "micro red") to grow in. I might mix it up with some tenellus var "tenellus" and see what happens.

I've got a GDA/GSA problem. Yes, it's that green "belt line" through the front of the tank. Funny because that's how far I drain the tank during w/c. Maybe I should drain it all the way? lol. It's annoying the heck out of me. I'm not touching, hoping it goes through it's cycle and falls off. I might dose a little potassium but I need to pick up a test kit.

It needs some TLC but I've got two whole weeks off this month so I'll have to find some time to do it then.

So...I'm thinking of changing my substrate to all Eco-Complete. I'm still waiting for a reply from the seller but it's 2.5 5g buckets full. Should be enough I think .
