Thorichthys aka Firemouths

Yeah sorta been mostly with the African counterparts for the last 10 yrs and truly by the end of this month I will only have one Tanganyika fish left due to raising him from an egg that I just cannot part with he is special to me sorta like my 16 yr old Synodontis they are lifers LOL.. But yeah I figure that the SA's and the CA's were different in the aspect of finnage and such..

Yeah just varies from species to species which I would imagine africans are the same way. Always stuck to mainly American cichlids with the exception of a buttikoferi and a small growing tilapia which its name doesn't come to mind right now. All my fish are from the Americas right now.

Cool deal yeah i have been wanting to get into Geo's for a while, its as good of time as any.. I was also wanting to raise some Red Shoulder Severums Hmm I may just do that in my other 120gal

Yeah i have seen a friends tank with a group of Red Shoulder Severums and i have to admit it is a nice looking group of fish.. I like the yellow ones as well, I may do 3 Reds and 3 Yellows still not sure if i will but its a ideal..

Do it Mike, Do it! I love the red shoulders too. Just acquired 3 of them myself as well as 2 super reds (the yellows). I really like sevs. Also just got 10 red headed tapajo geos.

Sorry I kind of butted in to your convo.

It's ok Stephycps. No worries. I would love to get the Red Head Geo's but if I do that then I'de have to own Geo altifrons as well. Then the collection would never end.

Steph anytime you want to jump in go for it.. You are always welcome, I am really thinking about it still haven't made my mind up yet.. Thanks Gabe..
