I've bought fish from Wal Mart...before I really knew better. I actually still have most of them, and they were/are perfectly healthy. However, that doesn't mean I would buy fish from there again. I've just become more educated since then, and probably just lucked out with the ones I did get. The Wal Marts closest to me take....fair care of their fish. But I have seen some that are horrid. As someone else said, if they would just get one person with even a little bit of knowledge to take care of them, they'd be so much better off. Sometimes when I go there I wish I could get them to hire me just to take care of their fish. It would be easy once you got everything straightened out. I don't imagine it would happen but...I feel bad for the fish, so I want to fix them!
I hate when I'm walking through that section and see someone with a brand new 10 gallon tank in their cart and some fish in a bag...I just cringe.
But that was me once too so...
