The first ingredient listed on Wardley's is spirulina, which I haven't seen elsewhere.

Hello... now if you can just master the art of getting them to eat it all before it goes bad in the tank, I would love to hear it!

Which somehow answers the question what the difference is. Hikari "algae" wafers are mostly meat. Wardley algae wafers are vegetarian.
 
The pleco i had a while back wouldn't touch the wardley discs. i got hikari and he went bonkers! i strongly recommend hikari. the only wardley i use is flakes and shrimp pellets.
