I special mail ordered sera....the plecos didn't touch it. I bought Hikari, and the plecos and cories and otos love it. Then I tried Wardleys when I learned the first ingredient was spirulina......and when I turned the lights on the tank in the morning.....Wardleys were still sitting there! I tried to tell them Wardley's had more veggies which was good for them...but they wouldn't listen:headshake2:. I kept trying, they kept ignoring them. But mine are fine on the Hikari, they get plenty of algae and veggies otherwise. And I do not put them in the tank every day. At most, 3X a week. I do like Wardley's shrimp pellets for the cories, and the plecos always come right out on suck on those pellets too! And instead of breaking the discs in half for an oto, just take a tiny piece off, half is way too much. Less food polluting the water for even short periods of time if definitely a good thing for water quality.

Even breaking into small pieces, it just blows around the tank. I get so tired of the stuff blowing all over the tank...

I wonder if I could use some type of tupperware to make a little wafer house, that would keep it in one place so I could clean it easier...

Corydora gang is on teh move!!

Uh-oh lol Same here. The closest LFS is my fish store. They only carry wardley algae discs.

I think wal-mart has the wardley. I only feed hikari wafers tho. My plecos or Ram/Severum will prolly eat any brand, they are all pigs!!

I my cories love hikari, so i use it. my danios even nibble it when it starts to break up.

PLUS (was reading hikaris site) it has 32% protein, where as wardley has 35%.

only prob. with hikari is the ash in it.

The Hikari ones are still no algae discs.

Fish preferences are weird. My cories prefer the Wardley discs to all others, but don't like shrimp pellets. My bristlenose and the bumblebees like shrimp pellets more than algae discs.

In the end, I mix products. For what it's worth, I use three different kinds of discs for different purposes: Wardley, Hikari and New Life Spectrum. I hope that everything evens out that way.
