webcricket's tanks

hey i was just wondering how do you clean your tanks out for e.g. your 20 gallon #1 tank do take all your ornaments out and then re position them or do you clean around them........ :dive2:

I do move the ornaments and rocks a bit to gravel vac under them, but I don't pull them from the tank. Usually I knock out one or two of the plants as well and just have to bury them again when I'm done. The smaller root is easy to move out of the way, the large one I sort of have to manouver around. To prevent stagnant water and debris sitting in the ornaments (they are hollow), on the large root I have the filter outflow pouring into an opening in the side of the root. The fish spend a lot of time in the smaller one, so I don't worry about stagnant water there, but I do flush it out with clean water I am pouring into the tank.

I just looove the roots in the first tank. ;)

The blue danios are not dyed, the coloration is just another of their genetic variations. ;)

If you can smell Prime that much, you may be overdosing. I've been using it for over a year, and never smell it in my tanks or on any ornaments.
