well....gonna do another ram spawn.....

He doesn't have his dorsal rays splayed, that's why they look short.....as far as the rams I have...I have yet to be able to see any real consistant difference in the dorsal rays between male and female, just that all of the male's fins are larger in general. The biggest noticable difference in fin size is in the ventral fins. Males have noticably longer pointier ventrals than the females....

That pic shows pretty large fins....the caudel, dorsal and ventral....they're all very prominant.......the coloring in the belly area just looks to me like the purplish color that they all have in certain lighting.

It's possible I have it wrong....lol......but I really think it's male...

Hey Sting....care to take a bet on it ?? :D ;)

Sploke, COOL ! I'm sure I'll have some for sale in a couple of months...unless something goes terribly wrong, like a power outage or something.....I live right near the intersection of 44 and 74 in Ashford...so not far at all. You could stop by on your way home from classes.

Sorry for the crumby pic. I can't use my regular computer right now so I had to use my camera phone and upload the pic to a site to be able to get a pic of him posted. After hearing about the pink belly thing, I'm sure he's a male now. His belly's more yellowish.

Here's a video I took of him: http://aquarium.textamerica.com/?r=4051470
