What Works for Me May Not Work for You

1. I keep "softwater" fish in liquid rock.

2. I don't care how outdated UGFs may seem.

3. I don't test my water regularly.

4. I have never Qt'ed a fish, although I wish I would.

5. I get by with bi-weekly water changes occasionally.

6. I don't feed my fish 7 days a week.

7. I have never used any chemical except a dechlorinator.

Rarely test water

Water changes are often only about 10% of volume

Most of my tanks don't have heaters

Most of my tanks are underfiltered right now

I only get surface film when using Prime, but not any other water conditioner

Go UGF and RUGF

Bio-wheel's rock

rarely test the water...my test kit if four years old anyway

i hate prime. go Aqua+

would never put aquarium salt in my tank for any reason.

i like tall tanks

hex tanks are cool too

+1 on the bio wheel, because im too cheap to keep replacing filters all the time I was them out with hot water, this helps me out some.

I also use stress zyme with my fish in cycles, that might be why it works, might not.

Bred Convicts in a 10 with no deaths besides fry.

Only do water changes about once a month

Only test water if something dies

I like this thread :)

No carbon

Sponge filters and plants

20% water changes bi-month in most tanks

Not big on hexs/bows/odd shapes; prefer long, short tanks

Most tanks without a heater

Feed once a day

Prefer sand substrate

I agree 100% Pop!

Always QT fish

Discus tank gets daily water change other tank weekly at 50%

Don't use carbon in filters

Test water once a week before WC

Feed twice a day more if raising fry

Sand substrate/planted

Don't like UGF

Add salt to tanks

Tend to stock tank to the limit.

My wife and I were doing WC's tonight and i looked up at two of our small Angel tanks and decided to take inventory. 2 -10 gallon tanks with 100-110 dime /nickel size fish in each tank. (do not try this at home ) we are playing with fire .:evil_lol:

And not one cull so far , I will be moving them into a 50gallon bin tomorrow
