Pops,

If you hate writing that HTML code check out squarespace.com for EASY web site building.

What are you feeding your fry? I'm still using BBS.

Best wishes!

Thanks I will look into that!

We feed our fry a variety , BBS, De caps, golden pearls, live worms and blood worms along with a super high protein flake mix we make in house.

I have never made a mistake I'm the perfect ***********. Just kidding i do a lot of dumb things. Da-Nile is not just a river in Egypt

I have about 80 fish in this 125. 35 to 40 cories,30+ mosquito fish,9 angels,5 flying foxes. Change 50% water once a week, running 2 magnum 350's with bio cylinders(cleaned weekly), and a pro magnum (with crushed coral) a few days a week. I run a diatom filter for about 15 hrs a week right after my weekly water change. I never clean the sand or vacuum.
0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 20-40 nitrate. :lipssealedsmilie: Be gentle now.:)

1 have considered urine for cycling
2 will probably try it now that i see someone has finally confessed
3 feed once a week (bottom feeders) and let auto feeders do the rest (i stuff them with a decent mix of foods though)
4 turned the wifes dream of having a couple goldfish into 2 planted tanks
5 she got her betta though... it's in a tankful of guppies
6 i use a hagen ladder for co2... about 10 bubbles per minute
7 i use room temp water for w/c's and a 5 gal. bucket with an air tube and suction cups to introduce it slowly
8 instead of blanching my veggies i cut them up ahead of time and keep them in a ziploc in the freezer... then i just drop them in.
9 i just tried prime for the first time and i think it sucks for my purposes... i am giving it the benefit of the doubt and will stick to it for a while though.
10 i really only q/t when dealing with the lfs
11 i use any filter that works
12 i collect my own wood and feel the best place to get slate is out of the scrap pile from a local landscaper
13 i have limo tint on the back of my living room tank (outside)
14 i do not rinse my laterite... i have a filter for that
15 i use massive sponge filters and micron pads meant for sumps and pond filters for everything
16 i once tried pillow stuffing from walmart for filter media... will not do that again
17 i am currently using t-8 bulbs everywhere and aluminum foil for a reflector... on my show tank (it's behind an aquarium light fixture)
18 i cannot keep vals, hornwort or anacharis alive to save my life
19 1.2 wpg and plants are doing fine (20" height tank)
20 rebuilt, re-did, painted, built or revived everything i use... if not re-engineered it... including tanks, filters, stands, hoods, lights... you get the point... i even used rustoleum to paint my l/room tank black instead of wood grain and to hide where it was burnt.
21 believe that sometimes it's better i don't wash my hands before putting them in the tank

i have a lot and probably many more to come. thanks for looking folks... this IS theraputic... thanks popop

 O M G I would not expect any less from you

I may get bashed for this one, but when cycling a tank I don't cut the ammonia levels with water changes. Instead I use Prime to neutralize the levels in the water. This makes it safe for fish but leaves the ammonia in the system in a form that is usable by the bacteria and allows for a colony to grow. I have not lost a SINGLE fish using this method.
