What would you like to see in a lfs?

Working on the live food. He said he tried blackworms once, but they died. He does have live brine shrimp, and I just supplied him with his first cultures of microworms. Once my white worm colony is really bouncing, I'm going to get him some of those too. I will also try to get him to try black worms again. That should be a nice variety. I would also be tempted to start up some flightless fruit flies or confused flour beetles.

Also, the next thing he brought up to me was tank sizes. He originally planned to do all the FW in 20 gals, but is considering some 10 gals.
I think some 10s would be great, since they will be hooked up to larger sumps anyway. This would be ideal for invert tanks and nano fish.
I would also like a 55 or two, for some of the bigger boys.
Plus, I would like one tank as a 'plants only' tank. The other tanks will probably have some plants, but this one could be more controlled. I'd like a very tall tank for this.
What do you guys think?

20 longs might be best..especially when netting fish....10s for all the really small stuff..

Live food cultures are a really good idea. As for tanks, 20 longs for most fish. 55s for monsters and for a plant tank. 10s for nanos and inverts. You could also have a 75 as sort of like an ornamental tank where you could keep fish that didn't sell and grew out, one of my LFS did this and I really like it. You could also sell these fish at discount prices because they would be fish that didn't sell when they were in the retail tanks.
