I have a 75 gallon aquarium that currently has 2 whisper 60's on it. They are on their last legs now though and I want to go with a canister this time.

Eheim seems to be the most popular, and most everything I read about them is good. So, is this, The Eheim Classic 2215, the right filter for my aquarium?

Right now I have(but who knows in the future):

1 red-tailed shark
3 dwarf neon rainbowfish
10 tetras
2 gold dojos
2 botias
4 cories
1 common pleco (rescued)

Thanks!

No, a 2215 is not enough, I will suggest a 2217 at least but if you can 2.

I use an Eheim on one of my 30's the only bad thing about it is that it does not come with a spray bar.

All the eheim's comes with spray bar

I have a Rena xP3 and love it. Rated to filter a tank of 175 gallons and no need to re-prime after a power outage or cleaning. Does a great job on my 75 gallon turtle tank.

I would like to vouch against mellowvision's opinion. :)

I have a fluval 305, and 2 eheim pro2's. (not really fair to compare to 2, as the eheim is built like a monster poop sucker)

I think the eheim is easier to maintain for me and the fluval gasket is cracking on me after opening it up like 3 times, -1. and im trying to put my petroleum jelly. it works, but =x.

aside from that, the eheim pro 2, only has baskets (and you fill it up with whatever), thats a +1. while the fluval 305 has some sponge...boards?. a board with sponges?. its just a little more to rinse (if you rinse those). but we're talking about maintenance here. so thats a -1.
