Tanganyika has the most diversity and allows for the most species to be kept together in a community. A few years ago I would've voted Malawi for color, but as my tastes have changed I prefer odder fish, and they seem to be crawling all over Tanganyika.

I refuse to pick, and you can not make me!

Perfect stance, LOL! Before I moved, most of my tanks were devoted to Malawis, mainly mbuna, even if it was just to house young uns. I've only ever kept one species of Vickie, and a half dozen or so Tangs. Part of the reason was because Tangs were harder to come by here, and I lucked into the Victorian species. Thinkin' I'll have to try more Victorians and Tanganyikans when the fish room is done, but can't abandon my mbuna totally, either. All three lakes fascinate me.

altho tanganyika is like a freshwater reef in terms of species diversity, i prefer the charm of malawi's many "similar but different" fish

well said wyom when i get a much needed fish room i will have all three as well..
