Please forgive me for trolling in shark infested waters. I did not mean to throw chum in anyones face.
I merely suggested that there was more than one quality tropical fish food in the world today and using a blend for a variety diet has merit.

"I think we need a bigger boat."

I don't see any trolling in this thread. While I think NLS is a great food, I also do not think it is the be all end all of fish foods. Currently, I am feeding a mix of several brands but when that runs out I will be switching to pretty much NLS simply because I'm going through so much food now it only makes sense to buy the 5# buckets. I don't want to have a bunch of large quantities of food open, so NLS Thera-A it is for my fish. Maybe in 4 months I'll be back saying NLS is the best food ever. My fish look pretty good now (imo) but if NLS exclusively makes them look better I'm all for it.

One NLS product I do not like is the wafers. None of my fish will eat them. Unfortunately, I bought 4 jars of them when they were on sale, so now I'm stuck with them.

I agree. I don't know how they screwed it up, but the wafers are not worth it.

All my plecos come out and eat the regular pellets, I don't supplement anything else for them.

Labby, any chance you can send me a few of those wafers in an envelope? I was going to try them for my shrimp...who eat pretty much anything, including carrots and egg white. I would like to try something that holds together well, and supposedly those do.

Reading labels is far more informative than reading forums. I was very surprised that an often recommended food lists 'wheat' as the first ingredient.

Much appreciated! I am going to be setting up a shrimp tank outside of my home and need something that could work almost like vacation food for them along with veggies...this sounds like it might do the trick.
