:grinyes: I like your sass.
MudskipperFan:
Look, here's the problem.
1. You came here to ask for advice, and a lot of people jumped to help you. They told you you would need a bigger tank, which you said you would do in the event that you get a mudskipper. Okay, we get that a lot.. whatever, as long as you do it.
2. One member suggested you ask at your LFS and try to get them ordered. This does not mean PetCo/PetSmart/other chain stores.. they're not gonna special order anything. You need to find a little hole-in-the-wall mom&pop store. They can definitely get them, and it'll save you paying for shipping on one fish.
3. THEN, a member actually found you an Aquabid auction! I mean, this is personalized service, now!Perhaps you're not used to auction etiquette, but bids are binding. Sellers are charged fees to list their auctions, and they actually want to move these fish. It is a form of business. You must take bidding seriously, because the sellers sure do.
You gotta step back and chill, dude. If you want a skipper, do your research. It's not like picking up a guppy at the store and chucking it in whatever tank you have. They have very specific needs and if you don't address them, your fish will suffer - and you'll be out of money.
People here are seriously trying to help you. Please listen.
Yeah it is. hahahahahahahahahahahahaHAAAThis thread is pretty funny.
i know mudskipperfan will do fine with his new mudskipper and i know he will breed them one day,he will become a expert on them, sometimes people have to make the right choice themselves.
My mommy and I are hoping to get a 20-30 gallon tank pretty soon. Then I'll try to move the filter from the ten gallon to the 30 gallon, or I'll get a better filter and put some of the sand from the previous tank in it, and take a sample of the sand from the ten gallon and use it for some of the sand. I hope I can do all of this.I see where you are getting the 200 dollar minimum order, if you go to the sellers website it says 200 minimum BUT they are a wholesaler, the 200 minimum is for fish stores need to order 200 dollars in products. It doesn't work that way on Aquabid though. Aquabid you are simply buying the one critter and paying for shipping (which AGAIN is going to be similar to LiveAquaria, add in shipping and it will be one expensive Skippy).
I too am sorry that people were mean to you, I think a slight wake up call is in order though. A 10g is not going to suffice for a Skippy for long. So why don't you set up a new tank for the Skippy (preferably one in the 30-40 gallon Breeder Tank range) and then you will have a happy Skippy for life and you will stand a far less chance of its demise due to stress of being in a small place. Imagine living in a closet, it wouldn't be fun for long, before long a 1 bedroom apartment would be a mansion. We're simply trying to keep your best interest and the best interest of the fish you decide to keep in mind. Hope this helps!
