get a mac, they're better in pretty much most if not all ways. i wouldn't recommend linux after hearing you'd never heard of it. not much runs on it, and there's definitely a learning curve. macs also have a curve, but they're really easy and they don't crash or get viruses or anything. just my 2 cents

Yeah, Vista's a bit different in terms of how its components work. That can certainly grow on you, and in fact, it already has.
But what hasn't grown on me are all the error messages, freezing, and crashing.

Don't blame Vista for user error! :rofl:I had the same experience w/ Vista.
I took my computer in, they replaced the motherboard and the hard drive so when I get it back, well, then I guess I'll see if it grows on me. lol
