winters here!

the high today was only 48 tonights supposed to be down in the 20's again. It got cold real fast this year. Maybe where in for a long winter. All the wooly bears that I have seen so far have been almost all brown with just a little bit of black on each end so if the old wives tale is true then we definately are in for a long winter here in CT

we've had flurries and the temp has been in the 30s 40s these days with some frost or near frost at night but somehow my roses are still blooming and budding like it's spring. my roses are confused. now if i can only say the same of my aquatic plants.

fishcatch, post your aurora borealis pics !

what? i have none! no digital cam, and no aurora borealis to photograph! that's why I said google! you will find a million pics of them there.

pffff. i simply assumed that since you saw it once last year, which must mean it's really special and rare, that you would've run for your camera. but since you have no camera, you're a hillbilly! so pffff to you.

I have a camera, just not a digital one... hillbilly? WTH? i've never lived in a small town in my entire life!

I've lived in Nebraska my whole life and I still have no idea what's 'normal' weather for us. LOL It's been 90 in Jan and 28 in July here so it's anyone's guess. We get to see the Northern Lights here a few times a year. One year they were so incredible that we (and all the other motorists) stopped along the highway to watch them. They went all around us, and that's extremely rare! One of the most beautiful thing's I've ever seen.

We got 28 inches yestersay here in georgetown colorado its been cold too 20's at night. We have got three storms already the first on was oct 17th we got 16 inches and the next day 8. Lots of fresh powder. in the mountains here you can expect snow and cold from october till may 6-7 months of winter. denver is much different they get six inches and its a blizzard what a bunch of wimps come up to the mountains. Those flat landers dont know what snow is.
