Would buiding and using a DIY co2 generator be dangerous/illegal for a 15 year old to

trust me Karl, there are kids here that wouldnt think twice about downing a 24 pack....but back on topic..

i did DIY last year and no troubles, it is not illegal because you are making it for CO2 and the alchol is just a byproduct of that. you will be fine, and you wont want to drink it, it burns your nose like hell and it just smells gross.
 
run it thru a stil ya got vodka...
 
I have been doing homebrewing beer and wine for many years and have a thread for wine recipes for a DIY co2 system.

The law states that you can make up to 100 gallons per adult in the household. There should not be a legality problem as long as if anyone asks questions, your parents claim that it is theirs.

But yes, if you are under 21, you cannot legally run a co2 system here in the US.

Trust me, if you are using bread yeast, it will be disgusting.
 
Hmmmmm this is interesting...I just made my DIY co2 without a second thought...am I doing this illegally? What an interesting question
 
Yeek - the land of the free and you can't even brew beer if you're under 21? It's a strange perspective from European eyes that you can buy an assault rifle but not a can of Tetleys... but we have our blind spots as well, no doubt.

Rocker - alas we have that problem as well. Too much of a "drink to get drunk" culture in the UK, not enough of a "drink to appreciate fine wine and beer" culture.
