And maybe he's thinking something along the lines of . . . "This kid got his fish a week or two ago and now he's leaving for three weeks. Sorry I am of the school that if someone buys something from you and they have a question about it it is your responsibility to either help them if you can or at least have the common curtisy to not insult them for asking a question.
Again, I don't think this was a joke and I don't care if he does make most of his money from stores how hard is it to answer this simple question.

I think it was rude too. I always apply this standard:
If it were MY business and someone I hired spoke to one of MY customers that way, would I be OK with it.
The answer in this case is NO.

Judgement should be reserved because of the fact that there was one side presented with only snippets of the original e-mail exchanges between the breeder and the customer. From what I understand, the OP asked for help, got it, but also got what they consider a rude remark. The entire context of the original e-mail's should be taken into account since the breeders point of view is absent from this forum.
