youre right RTR. he did not particularily bring up pH and KH in the summary but he did note at the bottum of his post that things like such should be monitored during the cycle to avoid an instance such as what happened to him. his breakdown was more or less tailored to the few questions that i still had and he cleared alot up for me.

RTR,

At 8pm tonight it will have been 24 hours since I last added ammonia. If I don't add any more then by the time I get fish home tomorrow it will have been 46 maybe 47 hours since I added any.

So it sounds like I should add some tonight but maybe not as much as usual? Maybe 2ppm to tide the bacteria over until tomorrow? When should I do the big water change? Right now, tonight, right before I leave for the LFS, or doesn't it matter when, as long as I get the nitrates out before I get the fish home?
