when done right oscars are awesome fish. great filtration, space, and no live foods ever should lead to great and beautiful specimens. it is just weird to me how one or two people who had some odd experience with carbon or read a little too in between the lines have managed to brainwash eachother and any newcomer who doesnt know enough to question them.

Ok I decided to not grab frogs from the pond area.

I'll dig up some worms, grubs, crickets and such.

I was wondering what type of fish make the best feeders?

I know goldies aren't that great, rosy reds are the only thing I can find around here.

I want to raise them myself, so what would be the easiest to breed and also be the best nutrionally wise?

if you have a 30g tank you could make a convict breeding tank. live self bred feeders and being convicts you will never run out lol. not to mention the convicts themselves are awsome to watch. fish arent the best live foods though. crickets or worms are your best bet.
