I just feed a mixture of coral food, rotifers, cyclopeze, reef chili, but sparingly, once a week. As far as chemicals, just Alk and CA supplements. Nothing else. I have a bunch of other stuff in my cabinet like Iodine, Strontium, Magnesium, Amino Acids, but I have no desire to use them because I don't think there is a need.

I will pop down to bunnings after work tonight and pick up a light. Can it be any old light or does it need to be a T8 or T5 for example?
T5 or an LED setup. Ask Ace, he's the guy who helped me. T8's are more for freshwater and plants then corals (as I found out the hard way) Good Luck!

For a sump, a cheap $5 clip on reflector and 23w-42w 2700k/3000k CFL bulb is all you need for Macro. Should cost under $20 total including tax and gas to go to the store. Well.. in the US anyway.. not sure about Oz prices. ;)

Wow, that is really cold. You didn't have any heater in the tank? I have my heaters set to 26c (78.8f). I also have 2 250w heaters on a controller to keep temps stable on my 75G. I found with only 1 250w heater on cold days it can't keep up and my temps drop down to 24.5c (76f), which to me is getting too cold. Your poor fish and corals.. 66f is really cold for them.

Iv never seen my tank below 24 so I was completely shocked. I did take my heater out when meddling with my sump last week and obviously forgot to put it back in :( just glad I noticed it quickly. The only good point being that my turbo snails would have been inclined to breed
