i wouldnt say immpossible, just hard, we need someone who has those stingrays.... (unless you already do...) Do you have a standard 180 gallon or a special 180 gallon? if its standard here are the measurements, i dont know of any "specialized" 180 gallons that has a nice width

72 1/2 x 24 1/2 x 25 5/8 (lxwxh)

mmmkay, a 180 aquarium is 18 inches wide. stingrays need a tank width of at least 2x their diameter. The hystrix has a 14" disc when it matures.

Simple math here.

2 time 14 = 28

So, according to the expert quotation you just recently posted, 28" is the minimum tank width for your stingray.

your tank is 18" wide.
a standard 180 is 24" BTW.

72x24x24/231= 180

Not to argue but it seems that u came in her to TELL US that he will fit instead of asking what we thought. If you think he fits, and your stocking is good then you dont need our advice. Go on and enjoy your tank.....you will learn with time.

meh...its not ideal, but it'll do.

When you do put in decor, ground plants, rocks, driftwood will all block your stingray's path.

Putting in some floating plants would be good.
