Mafia 61: The Gunslinger - Game Thread

This is going to be a nerve wrenching Night 1 me thinks.

Kash thanks for answering my questions, that makes me feel better about your list now. Still I would think you could name a few people you suspect by this point, pretty much everyone else has. You don't have to vote, and chances are Ice isn't going to go straight off your list so there's little pressure on you. In fact almost all the pressure rests solely on the Sherriff this game.

No pressure Ice, heh.
 
Well, ok, they're not making decisions at this point, but I meant that it would be particularly nerve wracking to not know whether you are going or not.

I might not be back on until later tonight...going to the Wild game...but I hope Ice makes a good decision!
 
Ok, I'm back. For those of you who saw me on the thread, I was reading from the last time I posted until now so you can see why it took so long. I know I haven't been very active on day one and I know most of you aren't going to belive me but I truly forgot the game started on Monday and didn't get on the forum until Tuesday. I promise that I will be more active on day two but now that it's after the holidays, I don't have as much time now. Take it for what it's worth but my list goes like this:

Annie
JB
Jpap
Kash

That was in no particular order.

If it isn't too much bother for ya, it would help for you to explain why you chose the names you did. That is.. it helps the town. And since the mafia wants to say as little as possible, you draw suspicion upon yourself by not stating your reasons.
 
Ok, my bad!

Annie- As said before a lot of his post are meaningless and the ones that could help don't tell enough information in order to help the town.

Jb and Jpap- Both seem to be saying a lot but often nothing important and may times it's just eith what the sheriff is/should be feeling or what they are feeling.

Kash- She was first out last game for a reason. Ice was the grinch who killed her. Now he is the first up to shoot and has a good chance of leaving tonight. This leads me to belive that the whole Ice=Gunslinger this is just an OMGUS thing made up by Kash. (Top of my list)

Well, we don't have to vote today like in a normal game.. but if I had to (as I've said) it would be a pretty random one. If I could name actual suspects....... I would have. I'm really undecided about who to believe is being forthright with their posts (other than Ice who needs to hold his cards close to his chest until he's ready to take his shot).

The closest thing I have to a suspect is Annie, as I posted earlier. And his last post hasn't changed that.... that was nothing but a load of crap. No one in this game is seriously going to "vote" for the same people regardless of which team they're playing for. So Annie is doing nothing but covering his arse.... and IMO that equates to taking a scummy position. On the other hand, Annie has a real bad habit of acting like scum even when he's innocent. I found that out first-hand when we were communicating vigilantes together (in a previous game). Would Annie get my vote today if voting was required? I don't know.

Now, if you want me to elaborate a bit more about the Zsand/Jpappy and Dawg/Jbradt split, I will. But that's nowhere near placing a vote or naming either of them as suspects. For the most part, Dawg and JB "seem" to be in general agreement with each other while both Zsand and Jpappy "seem" to agree with the general observations I have so far. But as I pointed out earlier, that apparent alliance is probably contrived for appearances sake. I don't trust any of the 4 names solidly enough to count them on the town side and I don't have anything specific enough to point either of them out yet as likely mafia. I've no doubt, however, that at least one of them are on the scum side this round.

The best lead I see so far is Annie... but I'm leaning him more likely mafia than neutral -- which isn't strong enough yet to direct a shot at him.

Of the more active posters, there seems to be split emerging with Jbradt/Dawg on one side and Jpappy/Zsand on the other. Of those choices, I'd probably lean with Jpappy and Zsand myself.. I'm finding their posts to be well considered and helpful. This is pretty weak, though, and from all 4 of those players, I would expect some of it may be contrived... as in distancing. Bears watching is all I can say for now.

Agass has been posting some good points, I feel. The suspicions on Lab-Rat seem overstated from the posts LR has made. I attributed her post saying it'd be fun to be gunslinger more a case of enthusiasm over caution.. I don't know the player well enough to tell if this is a good scum-tell or not. This seems to be what got Jbradt to post LR as a leading suspect, along with Jpappy. I wasn't watching the thread whenever Razzle was viewing it... so I don't have first-hand info to decide whether that's an issue or not.
I'll keep working at this and I need to pull a few posts... one where I misread something and another that makes me curious.

I have to agree with Z. For someone who didn't have much you said a whole lot.
The bolded paragraph I'd like some clearing up. It seems you are saying you'd lean Z and Jpap. Lean them what? At first it appears innocent but then you say it could be contrived so could be mafia.

Right now I'm leaning towards Kash as my shot. 1st off for someone who has no suspects she has done a lot of finger pointing while being very non committal about any of it.
But what really leans me this way is her insistence to hit lesser players to get them out of the game early or in better terms save our best for last. Look at her list again. All the players she thinks I should target she has leaning innocent( italics). Why would I target innocent?
The 3rd reasoning is the claim she'd be lost as Slinger and not know who to hit. I think she thinks I'd not risk hitting her if she is as clueless as she claims.


The rest of the team I'm not as sure about but I'm leaning the team to be

Kash
Jpap
JB
Z

They played off one another to much and to conveniently. I don't like the suspect lists at all except the fact they just about named the same players and even added one another as suspects.

I could be wrong and Annie could be on the team. At that point I'd probably drop Z off the team.

If Kash is mafia then I'd probably hit Jpap or JB next. I think they hold the key for me on who else could be on the team.
