Only problem with adding another may be that they could single it out considering it would be like an invader entering there turf. So would keep that in mind bro.

It's hard to tell from the pics...what size are they? As you probably already know, These guys need warm water; adults - 82F or above, juvies - 84F to 86F. They need a variety of good foods to be at optimum health. Don't fall into the bloodworm trap as so many do. Bloodworms can definitely be part of their diet but shouldn't be their main component. They look a little thin, but this may be due to their size, too. Young ones grow so fast they can look thin. Discus should be wide and rounded across the forehead, with the body round, not football shaped. Discus are one of the species that stunt easily. They need lots of good food and clean water.
There are some good recipes online for making your own discus prep. Many use beefheart as the main component. The recipe I used contained beefheart, shrimp, fish, veggies and vitamin supplements. The wild green in my av was raised on this and grew to over 7".
I think your tank setup is fine...lots of swimming space. The crypts can take the elevated temps discus need. So glad you decided to take the plunge and try them again. Discus are beautiful fish with lots of personality.

Hmm, interesting. I was just contemplating raising some discus and here comes a potential source of good discus, the fish gods are speaking to me!

Thanks Mark and Jen.. Mark I have been doing about 50% weekly water changes, I feed 2x a day with one feeding of live blackworms along with Bloodworms and Mysis shrimp and the second feeding of Earthworm and Super brine shrimp flake and a super growth color pellet from Kens, I also feed some Earthworm sticks and Spirulina..
The second batch of Discus are thin and when I traveled 2 hours away to pick them up I was disappointed on there size and weight but I am going to try to get them straight again.. It was from a trusted source so I didn't necessarily want to leave empty handed, normally I would have said your crazy and left but being in a different state I made the decision to keep them, these guys were quoted to me as 4" Turquoise but they are more like 3".. They were super stressed and they are making a comeback and eating good, the tank is at 82 right now but i am going to bump it up a few degrees..
I have two powerheads going right now with the bubble agitation but my question is this is it better to have the dissolved oxygen this creates or should I remove these and just allow the canister filters to run..

Hey Mike, sounds like you're movin' in the right direction with these guys. With the elevated temp, dissolved oxygen is typically lower than water which is in the mid 70s. I don't think the powerheads will hurt, unless they cause so much current that the discus get stressed.
