Sunlight’s tank journal

I'm sorry I'm only ~halfway through this thread, very interesting Sunlight! I think I thought I'd read it but it must have been someone else's build. I'll try to get up to speed tomorrow or Sun, good stuff!

Whew, I made it through Eddie's death, so sad! I'm glad you're getting new frogs, I had no idea they have such personalities.

Great tank & the fanciest soda bottle co2 set up I've ever seen! I'll try to keep up now.
Glad to see you'll be joining us on here! ? Thank you so much for all the kind compliments!?

Thank you for all of the compliments you guys!! Baby frog is coming more out of his/her shell every day. I just did a water change today, look at how long the pothos has grown!!

i put some clingwrap on the cracks of the lid as a temporary preventative. My dad and I will be making a new lid out of mesh soon!

also, here’s my 10 year old brother’s 20 gallon tall that will be moved into my mom’s classroom in August!

it’s got one giant amazon sword and some rocks around it. This picture was from after rescaping it so the fish aren’t in it (they were in a bucket), but it’s stocked with 5 zebra danios, 3 colorful male guppies, and 2 mystery snails. It looks fuller in person, the angle just makes the tank seem bare.

Courtney, with that lighting, how do you keep your tank free of algae? I love how clean it is, and your brother's tank is not far behind, I see that the passion for aquarism expands in a certain way, that pleases me, and reminds me of my beginnings in the hobby :D

Hahahaha... there’s always algae in there. I just cleaned it before taking these pictures! Trust me I get hair algae at the surface of the water. That’s actually when I do water changes: once the algae At the top gets too thick!

and thank you for your compliments about my brother’s tank! He loves his little fishies! The kids in my mom’s classroom will love them too (hopefully haha)
