No, you can only skim the surface or you will suck up sand into your bucket.

Looks nice. The oily look kinda worries me tho. Anyone had any oily residue from in on the water surface?

I have it in some of my tanks and I think its awesome. I have a few more tanks to change over to it. This pic is brown with a bit of buff mixed.

found mine at national pool supply for $18:headbang2:
but you have to rinse it for ever!:wall:

This color quartz is great, it feels so soft I want to fill the bath tub with it and sit in it
