Any Sci-Fi Fantasy book fans out there?

just remembered that John Varley book, "Titan" first book and it is many years old.

Ok Anne McCaffrey fans, the new book coming out is "Dragon's Time" . Will be out on June 28th. It is written with her son Todd.

The Hunger Games and sequels, currently... and if Heinlein wrote it, I've read it several times.

Absofreakinlutely! IMO he was hands down, the best SF writer ever. No one mixxed science with fiction and great storytelling like Robert Anson Heinlein.

Bgourami320, you'd mentioned Frazetta's art along with Boris. I loved 'em both though I was exposed to paperback cover art of Frazettas first; the Conan books among others.

Best military SF I've ever read

You guys read way more than me,now I feel remorse (dirty)about the amount of TV I watch.Ive watched like every ep. of that Sliders show and StarGate and still dont get this worm hole thing. Im not realy into wizards and dragons but cant stop contemplating space. See you later Space Cowboys.

Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series is good, but I found that after the second book they get very redundant. A really, really, really good book is The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I think the second one just came out, or will be within days. I preordered it in January.

You guys ever read the series based on Frazetta's Death Dealer? It was actually pretty good, kind of Conan-esque. I think it was written with James Silke. It's out of print and copies might be hard to find, but definitely worth a read. First book is "Prisoner of the Horned Helmet".

We mentioned Name of the Wind earlier in the thread. :) I'm starting "Wise Man's Fear" as soon as I log off here tonight. :)

Frazetta was the first fantasy artist for me as well. My ex loved Conan comics, he had a huge collection. We also had Frazetta's books with all his artwork in them. I think he had or maybe still has a museum in PA.
Years back I read alot of Heinlein's books, he's a sci-fi master!
