AquariumPlants.com

I've ordered from the a few times and everything went well. Plants in good condition and aside from the damage my gourami is doing to them, they are doing well. Never had any reason to try to contact them so IDK about the customer service. Would order from them again for sure.

Peace,
Caleb

Even though this post is a few years old, looks like its been resurrected.

But as people are reading it again, I'd to say I've ordered twice from Aquariumplants.com twice and both experiences were good. The last order in particular even arrived in great shape despite the ice storms and sub-freezing temps AP was experiencing at the time of shipping, so they know what they'll doing.

And even when I've called them on the phone, I've had no issues dealing with them to change plants quantities or shipping speed.

Just had to go look through the thread. lol

Something that caught my eye. Was that the last two erections came from people with 1 post. That probably found the thread through a search engine. Just to go sign up and complain.

I ordered some Glosso from them and it arrived yellow. I'm not impressed. They never responded to my emails on it either. I ended up calling them and they basically said to plant it and give it a few days...not an acceptable solution for me. They won't be getting any business from me in the future. I usually buy from Planted Aquariums Central. Excellent service, large bunches, and a good selection of plants.

This is my recent experience with AquariumPlants.com:

On Wednesday January 25 I ordered:

Wendtii, Red - Arrived in great condition.
Hygrophila corymbosa ‘Angustifolia’ - Arrived in great condition.
Ludwigia Peruensis - Arrived in great condition.
Sag, Dwarf Subulata - Good condition but taller than desired (7+ inches!)
Echinodorus Vesuvius - *See below*
Glossostigma - Arrived looking sickly/yellow but filled out after a while in my tank.
Moss Balls (4 per order) - Great deal, good size and healthy!

The note I put on the Echinodorus Vesuvius was because I got a call the next day (January 26) saying that something had gone wrong with a heater and the plants were ruined. They asked if I wanted to delay the shipment or if I wanted a substitute. I told them "surprise me with something red" and they sent a generous portion of Rotala Indica and Telanthera Rosefolia. Awesome!

Ordered with UPS 2nd-day but they arrived next day (Friday, January 27) so that worked out well.

The packaging was pretty good, no brown plants just the yellow glosso.

I would definitely order from them again!!

Best Regards,
Patrick

That's jsut because it's grown emersed - out of water. Once it gets in water, the leaves need to "re-adjust" and then they grow good. I've heard of similar things going on with Hemianthus plants.

I've ordered from aquariumplants.com several times in the past, and I thought they were pretty good. In my last order, one of the plants, Aponogeton boivinianus, unfortunately melted away within a few days in my tank. I wrote up a detailed review of my experience, including substrate, lighting, temperature, and other tank parameters, and posted it on their website for that plant. Since I didn't want to be overly negative, I also posted more positive reviews of a couple other plants from that order (Aponogeton longiplumulosus and Tiger Lotus, Green) on the same day (April 19, 2012 as "Mike from Boston"). At the time, I know all 3 reviews were posted and visible.

Then a couple days ago, as I was browsing their site, I noticed that my review for Aponogeton boivinianus was missing. An older review for the same plant is still there. My other 2 reviews for the other plants are still there. It was just my review for Aponogeton boivinianus that is gone.

I concluded that my review for Aponogeton boivinianus had been deleted because of the negative experience. I e-mailed the company's customer support. They e-mailed back, essentially saying that customer reviews are "permanent", but their website's "shopping cart version changed", and that could have affected some things.

"Shopping cart version change"? I'm not buying that as the reason my one negative review disappeared. A company that filters, edits, or deletes customers' reviews has no integrity, and I can't trust them and won't do business with them. What if we gave them a huge benefit of the doubt and accept their excuse? In that case, I still lack confidence in a company that allowed serious technical issues to affect customer feedback and the ability of customers to judge potential purchases. That's a significant problem that degrades my trust in the company. So, either way, I cannot recommend aquariumplants.com to anyone.

Also… I just realized this company has a rating of F from the Better Business Bureau!

I have only used ap once, and I won't be using aquariumplants.com anymore. I placed my first order on 2/21/13 for several items to setup my fish tank for a planted aquarium. Today is 3/19/12 and I finally have received the last items of my order after several phone calls and missing items. They were disorganized and communication was very difficult because Mark would say he'd call back, but then I wouldn't hear form him. There also were no instructions or dosing on the liquid ferts so I'm afraid to use them. Mark was very nice, but if your customer service and shipping room is lacking then you've expanded your business beyond your means in my opinion. I've never tried AB though, will keep them in mind next time I need plants or products
