Chris Rock at the Oscars

I never would have believed I would ever say this, but if Michael Moore got President Bush re-elected then thank god for Michael Moore!

I think he roused more Republicans that he did democrats!!

By the way, I just heard on the radio that Chris Rock also made crack about Kerry. Something about Oprah being so rich that Kerry proposed to her!! :p

He didn't write anything he said, so I wouldn't be too mad at him. He was just reading off the cue cards some bitter, liberal, LA writer wrote.

His breast comment about Selma Hyak and Penelope Cruz was subtitle and funny. "You won't be able to take your eyes off the next four presenters". But the boob jokes became over played very quickly.

Steve Martin in 2006 or ban.

Being the son of a Vietnam Vet (2 tours of duty) I'm glad that I live in a country that both sides can voice what they want and God Bless our troops for helping to keep it that way!

Exactly!

Here is my friends sig line on the knife forum. Retired Ranger, now doing contract work. He's saw "the" Blackhawk go down. :(

Somewhere a True Believer is training to kill you. He is training with minimum food or water, in austere conditions, day and night. The only thing clean on him is his weapon. He doesn't worry about what workout to do---his rucksack weighs what it weighs, and he runs until the enemy stops chasing him. The True Believer doesn't care "how hard it is"; he knows he either wins or dies. He doesn't go home at 1700; he is home. He knows only the Cause. Now, who wants to quit?

he basically said the what micheal moores movie said was true....which we all know its crap....but thats hollywood for you.....just cause someone puts somthing in a movie and says its true that automaticly makes it true?.....heck if it wasent for salma's boobs..well id would of said it would of been a wasted oscars

There's nothing I like better than to chill and watch a really good movie. But why the heck do the stars think I care about their personal lives or thoughts?

I've as much interest in their lives as they have in mine.

you(along with me) are a minority.

Well said. I used to like Danny Glover, not any more. Same with Susan Sarandon. Thelma and Louise is a great movie, but I don't watch her anymore either. Tim Robbins was never an actor in the first place.

Everybody has a right to their opinion, even one as ridiculous as the one Cameron Diaz stated on Oprah before the election. But just because your famous doesn't make your opinion more important.

I'm 180 degrees from her political perspective but that interview with Cameron Diaz was hard for me to watch. What a NUTCASE!! I can imagine Oprah was thinking the same thing while it was happening. I'm sure all involved with the democratic party cringed even worse than I did. Not the best person to put an open mic in front of right before the election :thud:

Mr. Rock did a fairly good job; he wasn't the best host, but far from worst. I thought his comments on our President was just fine… and if the President can take the criticisms, surely supporters of Bush can deal with it too. ;)

Uh, Lauren, you're incorrect on that one. He did write some of it. He also had help from his SNL co-alumnist David Spade.
