What temps are you running? Daytime highs are 82-85 for me, nighttime (air conditioning) lows at 76. I have the top open (with plastic mesh covering) and a fan pointed from about 10 feet away... still pretty warm.

I think one of the hottest spikes killed my male clown - he looked so peaceful & beautiful when I found him.

Anyways... you should totally spread your beautiful clowns around (omg, just please avoid Ko'olau Pets @ Windward Mall). I'd get some, but I'm trying not to get more livestock. If I change my mind tho, I'll PM you.

Mahalos!

all the killies i breed will be exclusive only to Myles owner of Moanloua pets and PETS PLUS, he's really nice guy, so i will only offer all my killies to him first, i have lots of golden wonder to offer him in 2 months. i don't check my temp, i just make sure water are cycled correctly and don't change too much of the water, only 20 percent to 30 percent weekly, sponge filtertion seems to be the best method

Congrats on the success breeding these killies! Wish you were closer so I could buy some as well. I'm on the mainland and can't find them anywhere. It's tough even finding them online.

I was wanting to keep them with CRS as you also do. How do the two interact? Do the clown killies chase the CRS? Have you witnessed them eating any of the CRS shrimplets or vice-versa?

Thanks!

nope clown killies are really small, even adults can't even eat adult BBS. they are only 1 inch size or a little over. peat moss is the best for hatching these killies, i tried water incubation for a little bit but peat moss hatch rate is like 80 percent to 90 percent. all of my killies i only do peat moss incubation. when the newly clown killies hatch, i throw them into the CRS tank the next day of hatch, CRS tanks that has cycle water and lots of plants has a lot of infusoria for the small clown killie frys to eat, 2 weeks later you can start tossing newly hatch BBS, this spieces grow slow, but all it takes is patient

Thanks for the info and quick reply! So you're saying that your clowns pose absolutely no threat to baby shrimplets? If so, I want these guys more than ever. Only problem is that I haven't been able to locate clown killies for well over a year.

I've seen some eggs for sale online but they'd be flying in from overseas on a 2-3 week journey and even if they arrive I'd be nervous raising them. I tried killies years ago by ordering eggs online (not clowns) and they hatched just fine. Only problem is that I could not get the fry to survive past a week no matter what I did and never got to see a full grown killifish....only in pictures.

Any chance you'd consider selling some of your adult/sub-adult killies?

well right now i have lots of GOLDEN PANCHAX eggs, they spawn like crazy, i can sell you eggs on a peat moss, they are easy to take care one day after hatch feed them newly hatch bbs, use sponge filtiration. some of my killies only lay eggs small amount a day sometimes only 5 eggs, and you don't even know how many are infertile. i would like to sell you live fish but it's hard to guranteed live arrival. if you want if i end up harvesting 10 eggs i can sell it to you, but like i say i can't guranteed hatch rates PM me
