clown killies

Aquascapes is where I got my killi - it's where I got most of the fish in my 10g. And my plants... Love that store! Definitely need to go back soon. Jojo & Rena are very nice!

ooh! Is your little Clown going to get a girlfriend? (It's too soon for marriage)

Let's have them start out as "just friends" first... We'll see how things go from there. :p:

I'm jealous.....I have hatched over 60 various Killi fish eggs and none of the fry last more than ten days. I have tried everything.....food wise, water quality wise, habitat wise....I guess I am just not wise!!!!!

hey fishycat, what other killies do you have? so far i only got the clown and the golden panchax, but i'm waiting for my Rachovii Biera 98 Eggs

I've only got the one clown. Haven't seen others... Is that the Golden Wonder killi? I have community nano tanks, so I'm mostly going for the 1" and smaller fish (aside from my betta). But I've seen some amazingly colorful killi! Just not here.

yes ive got the golden wonder from thailand, it was brought in by myles, owner of Moanalua pets, ive been breeding them for almost a month now, i have lots of frys ive been rearing right now, i'm gonna stick to three killies spieces for now, clown, panchax and the Rachovii biera 98, so 2 non annual and one annnual. i use to have a betta farm in the philippines but got damage by the storm, so i'm gonna do killies next. seems like my clowns are on a breeding mode right away, they chasing and flaring around the spawning mop, this is how i notice my panchax doing then they start laying eggs daily, i have to seperate them for now because they doing it non stop, i got so much harvested eggs in incubation

Do the clown only lay eggs in moss-type plants or the mop? I have a pair, but I don't really see any offsprings. I might have had one, actually.. but if could have been an oto fry. It died during my move, unfortunately. I do see mating behavior, too.

I think there may be a good market for killis, since I have only seen them at Aquascapes.

So for clowns, do you suggest 2 females for 1 male (community tank with other small fish)? He's shown lots of interest in my female Endlers, so I think it's time to give him a break. :p:
