I'll look into Canadian organic peat moss at Home Depot this weekend. How much of that juice would I need for a 10g? I think we have hard water in my neighborhood. I'm not sure of the PH.

well as long as the water is already tea like color, thats good. you can make it a little darker but not too much

They may spawn more with the peat extract, but it's not an absolute necessity. Mine have been breeding for close to 2 years now without peat. I'm about to start a focused breeding regimin for the clowns, now that I have a clear bull male and 6 or 7 adult females from multiple sources. I've got 3 15g breeders set up identically for the job, and a 5g I may use for hatching.
The only thing I worry about in terms of a seperate hatching tank, is that there will be so little infusoria there for the newly hatched... and it's so essential for the clowns. The fry are soooo small. And soooo hungry.

I have a male that has been dominating 2 females for about a year now, and he's twice the size of any of my other males, with richer coloration and more pronounced fin tips etc. He pretty much drove other males away from food and the surface when he was in a community set up. He's an alpha male for sure, and is set on breeding all the time. That's pretty much a bull.
Without taking any specific measures to catch, keep or protect fry, in an algae filled planted tank, I've managed to pull at least 10 of his fry in the past 6 months. About 4 of them are just reaching maturity... hard to say how the younger fry are doing, they pretty much keep hidden if possible until they're almost mature. I now have females from 3 sources, so breeding should go well once I transition to the 3 tank set up.

Thanks! I will definitely look for it tomorrow at HD! Hm, Exciting! I have 5 celestial danios fry growing up right now, too. Raising fry is fun (but slow).
I usually just use the Hikari fry food. Get the tiniest bit and mash it up between your finger in the water. It's worked for a couple of different small fish for me.
gonna try clown killie peat moss incubation method, i don't know if anyone has done this before, but i'm gonna try it now, great success on the panchax, since they are in the same spieces family just smaller version, it shold work, we'll fund out, i'll keep an update on this thread
So I could only find 
Miracle-Gro Sphagnum Peat Moss, which has added fertilizer. My Home Depot had only this kind. Is this safe to derive the juice from? I bought it anyway since I was there already. Any ideas?
