cycling

I know, I've already spent plenty of money on it. I'm broke now. So I'm kind of stuck until I have more money.

Liz, start another thread for the topic, you'll get more info that way, but no, that product sounds good, but will do nothing in terms of cycling

Maybe someone could tell me what everything harmful is ... in a 10 gallon tank...and tell me what each level should be at.... ???

so that means that everything should be set like you said (all the numbers) before I put my fish in..and Ishould maintain that all the time??
my fish dont live in warm water...as in I dont have anything to heat my tank...the pet stores all say that my fish should be in 78% or something...but mine have never had water that warm.....it's always 68 degrees F .....that can't be bad can it ??? I mean...they dont seem to mind.....

ok...I had a 5 gallon tank...then I put some of that water in my new 10 gallon tank...and included the rocks...I did not wash anything...then I put the rest all new water.......that was all I did...and then put the fish in....I didn't know anything about cycling....so...what should I do ?? change ALL of the water....and clean all of the rocks.....and then put in my fish ??

cleaning everything would get rid of all the good bacteria that convert ammonia to nitrites or nitrates. How long had your 5 gallon been set up?
What you did is good, when setting up a new tank you're supposed to have something in there from a mature tank so you can carry over some of that good bacteria to start off with.

... I think...
