Ok thanks! I'll see what I can come up with here. If I really wanted to get fancy would have the spray bar come up from the substrate! Maybe so lol!

I've been thinking about doing this (spraybar from the substrate). Anyone have any insight? Also I wonder how well this would work in sand?

Yea.. I wasent realy expecting replys from the thread starter or anything. More asking the whole freshwater DIY comunity. (as long as the thread is at the top of the page people will see it right).
Anyways, I would design it exactly like they have here, just under the substrate. Probably just barely poke the tops of the hops above the sand (if I go with sand) so it dosent throw sand up into the tank. I could see that being bad.

I have sand substrate so I hung the spraybar at top of tank and angled it to create more surface action. Works great for my needs.
It may be a 3 year old thread but is still relevant and no need to duplicate it.
