Eh, never seen sharks, but we did see a sea turtle once...it was RIGHT THERE !!
I followed it along the shoreline for a while...left me panting. Those things can swim!
And we've seen dolphins, too, but they were WAY out there; and there was a HUGE school of little fish that would jump above the water every morning.
This isn't considered "sea Life" but did I mention throwing popcorn up in the air to the sea gulls? They loved us!
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.
A poem by one of my favorite poets. Thanks for giving me an oppurtunity to share it.

Exactly. They have more bugs than Carter has liver pills. Crime is another factor I didn't think about, but yes... some of those cities within Florida do have a high crime index rating. What do you have to do to move to a minimal crime area, move to a farm?
Actually, here in San Angelo, TX we went 2 straight years without a homicide about 5-7 years ago. We also have very low kidnap rates. Violent crimes in general are fairly low. The town is about 100,000 people, but there is no Interstate Highway, so narcotic traffic isn't too bad. I've also never seen a "streetwalker" though I am sure in the clubs there is likely some of that red-light business going on. We do have a few beggars, but they are content to stand on corners at major thoroughfares and simply hold signs. no window washing or active, "Spare any change?" stuff.
So, no farm, but I can tell you, San Angelo is about an hour and a half from anywhere and about 3 hours from anywhere big.
But again, no snow. Ooh, we did have a "cold" front move through yesterday. Tonight it is supposed to be in the 20s! Hehehehe
Fog-----I lived in a small little town called Clovis, New Mexico for about a year and a half (military base there) and the fog was thicker than anyplace else I have ever seen in my life. We could sit in the living room and open up the curtain and watch the fog slowly creep towards our house across the bank parking lot. Slowly gliding across the street. Tendrils moving up over our porch step engulfing the hous and then we would go to the dining room and watch the tendrils slowly crawl down the other side of the house. For excitement we used to go out walking in it at night nobody else would be around and you couldn't see you hand in front of your face. Very eerie, used to remind me of the movie "The Fog", because it would move exactly the same. Haven't seen that movie in years I might have to go looking for a copy. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
