Earthquake

Amazingly, one reported that his live rock tumbled against the glass in an avalanche, but nothing broke.
That's good to hear. I mean, I'd rather have one squished fish than an exploded 100 Gallons of water in my house and a bunch of ]V[ fish with no place to put them :(

I finally thought () to check Mapquest. He's about 50 miles from Chino Hills. Still can't get through, but it could just be congestion.

I just had a relative call, so I'm sure the phone lines are jammed. I think the phone company can lock down the lines, too, to keep them free for emergency services.

I think I'm going to ask my supervisor if I can go home to check things out.

Hahaha...my sister and I stared at each other and I said "Whoa! Earthquake?!" I felt the ground move first and went for the door way while my sister yelled for my cousins to get under the kitchen table. I think I saw the ground move/undulate before my eyes. Thankfully, the only thing that fell was a big Maglite flashlight. My tank sloshed a bit and lost about a 1/4" of water and knocked a few stems of bacopa loose. My cousins sure got a nice going away present from California since they're leaving back to Calgary tomorrow.

I guessed it was a 6.0 and heard on the radio when I turned it on that it was a 5.8

Downgraded to a 5.4

I just hope I never have to experience anything larger. But as far as what's been predicted...sometime in the next 30 years we will. Could be tomorrow, could be 29 years from now.

I want to move!! I mean sure everywhere has it's dangers but at least you can see tornadoes, hurricanes, etc COMING at you. With a huge earthquake here, no warning, there is nothing you can do if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time... I worry so much about my family, my boyfriend, my pets..

^ The thing is, the "Big" one won't just be a shake like this... it is expected to topple buildings, unstable freeway ramps, knock over everything in people's homes...people will die :(
