Hey if u have any fun or interesting fish names or have a story behind your fish names add them to this thread. It'll be fun to read what ppl name their fish, and why? Also maybe this can be a sticky for as long as it stays active, newbies can get ideas of names with this thread!

My two bamboo shrimp are stix -n- stones. Like stick and stone may break my bones..... b/c bamboo shrimp look like walking sticks when their brown

My 2 fiddler crabs are Bonnie and Clyde the dynamic duo. I have male and female.

My angle fish are Margarita(female) and daquri(male) my two favorite drinks :-P

I have a female guppy that has a tail that resembles a wave, so I named her Tsumami. She had a son that had a similar look to his tail, but more intense, so I named him Hurricane. I had a female 3/4 black guppy named Poe. Had two brothers both used to bolt around the tank like mad fish so I named them Torpedo and the more colorful of the two Comet.

Gots lots more, too many to remember and comment on though. :)

Lakota

I found a solid orange comet goldfish (for 12¢!!!:D) that has one eye. I decided to take him home and my husband dubbed him Jack, as in One-Eyed. Lately I've been thinking it should have been "Jack the Fat One-Eyed Bas&%#@" since he's grown into a fat giant that only wants to eat, eat, eat!!!

I call my Marble Angel Fish Oreo cause he has one wisker thingy white and the other one black. And his body looks like somthing you would find in a oreo mcflurry(sp).

I didnt bother naming the other fishes cause their hard to tell apart.

Three albino cory's - Manny, Moe & Jack. The Pep Boys.

Clown Loaches - we had Larry, Moe & Curly. Curly died, so we added Shemp and Curly Joe.

Betta - Cherry Bomb since he's a very bright red.

Common Pleco we had (newbie mistake) - Infernal (*&$%(*&% Poop Factory

No one else really has a name.

Bichir, named Smèagol by my mother for the huge appetite for fish, and because you can just picture her saying "Tassssty fissssh, oh yessss my precioussss")...
Clyde the Rubber Pl*co, named Clyde because naming a fish also known as the Chubby Pl*co "Theo" after my boyfriend wouldn't be very nice...
MacDuff, the CA Pl*co, well, it's the sound he's going to make against the wall if he keeps eating my plants (I'm only kidding, I would never do that.)...
Filch, Finagle and Fetch, blind tetras, because of their method of obtaining food (and because it was better than "The Three Blind Mice")...
Glass Catfish have a collective name of The Council because you can't tell each fish apart (and the other option was Happy, Sleepy, Grumpy, Doc, Dopey, Bashful and Sneezy...)...
Yao is Yao because although peacock eels don't make that sound, peacocks do...

I used to name fish, but have since stopped. It's too painful when they die.
My all time fav. fish's name was Squishy, a female betta. (from the tiny jellyfish on finding nemo), I have/had bettas named: Butters, Ice, snowball, hot tamale, sneaky, cheese, tang, prickles, creamsicle, baby, squeek, sunset, chocolate, Rajah, bluey, Fifi (lol), cherry bomb..etc...etc...
the 4 plec's I've had are named: Dammit/Damette, Nugget and Duckie.
blackskirts: Bill, Bob, Jim, and Tom. goldskirts: milky and whitey
cories: yusuky, cory, cory I, II and III, q-tip, jess
ummmm.... ive had so many fish i can't even remember anymore... lol
another reason I stopped naming them.

The only fish I have that I gave a name is my blue goldfish.

His name is Apollo (named after the dog in the Coheed and Cambria story).

His name will also be in the title of Coheed and Cambria's upcoming CD: "Dear Apollo, I'll be burning star: 4".

I've been thinking about naming my Elec. Blue Jack, but I'm not sure.

Last fish I named were my 5 oscars. The tiger was George, the common was Angelfire, the albino tiger was Nataku, The red was Bob, and the albino red was Booger. Since then haven't named any, lol, probably cause I have so many.
