Funny Clown Loach Antics!

Oh and not to mention my friend... if you do know anything about clown loaches you will know that when they are stressed/scared they lose almost all their dark bands which turn white. From the picture it is evident that these loaches arent in that type of situation.
IME with clown loaches this is not always true. Yes clown loaches can "grey out" when they are scared. Their bands do not turn white, but lose their darkness. However clown loaches do not always "grey out" when they are scared.

I don't think that H3D was nasty or jumped down anyone's throat. He is trying to be helpful and informative. Debaric, I think you should re-read your own posts. If anyone is jumping down anyone's throat, it's you.

And my opinion on the matter is: Wait, I don't know a darned thing about clown loaches!

I guess most people would preffer "Helpful" with a little less hostility.

Neoprodigy has clown loaches in a bare tank and they are very happy, so what difference does it make? I know clowns need cover etc but seriously H3D you didn't even ask about there tank environment! Ask then criticize!

Maybe so...how would I know? All I did was post in response to a picture and give my interpretation of it from my experiences. I did not criticize anyone. I merely pointing out that IMO the clown loaches were exhibiting this behavior out of fear. IMO this behavior can be attributed to a bare bottom tank with no place to hide. You can see from the picture that there is no gravel or decor on that side of the aquarium, but I suppose your right that I was just making an assumption that the other side matched.

anyway this isnt a termenal problem is it. If they havent get any places to go (wich we dont know) then jardinboy might get some. Im sure he doesnt mean or know to stress his fish, thats if they are stressed..

Its fine to be angry. We all get angry. Maybe people would value your opinion more if you dont express your anger, if i knew someone was being cruel to there fish on purpos then it would be ok to express your anger.
