(I got it from Menards, called Handy Sand)

Also, this is going to be a looooong build thread. I'm not buying all my plant stuff till December. Reason? Ned a car, just buying the new filters and some fake plants and setting this tank up nice. When December rolls around ill just be swapping the fake plants for live ones. Should be fun once I get this established right :)

Ok, time for an update probably a lot of you wanted.

I ordered my canister filters already along with some other stuff. These should be here sometime this week or next week. The tank is coming along nicely for pre cycling it and helping get water movement. My impatient father decided to throw a dozen guppies in the tank from my breeder and they are doing fantastic (Suprisingly). I ended up buying a 300 watt heater and a 200 watt heater and got both of them dialed in to 79 degrees for water temp. I threw one of my power heads in there to help stir up the stuff on the bottom to keep any waste and excess food off the bottom.

So far it looks really nice. Can't wait to finish moving downstairs.
 
Just curious, what are you planning to put in the tank? I was too lazy to go back and read every post. Also good job on the tank so far. I am jealous of your bachelor pad/fish room.
