okay, okay, since you're all so anxious i snapped a few photos.
they're so hard to shoot now. they're big enough that i can shoot them normally, but a little too small to fill the frame properly. they're too big for the frame with the lens-flip trick, and much too quick now. it's so hard to focus on them anymore.
it doesn't help that now they recognize me, so when i go to photograph them they think it's food time and get all wiggly and excited.
anyway, there are finally a few shots here where you have something to reference for size. they're about the size of a large neon tetra, a small otto, or a small white cloud.
i lost two more babies for unknown reasons. my only thought is that these are the little ones whose internal organs didn't develop properly (since they looked fine on the outside). this is perhaps why it seems to be the smallest ones that i've lost lately.
i transferred the three little ottos from the 5 gallon to the nursery. i was getting a bit too much algae on the tank and there wasn't much in the 5 gallon, so i figured the ottos would enjoy some snacks. it's worked out quite well so far.
onto the photos.
look at that fat little belly.
the tiny hunter stalks his prey, the elusive First Bites pellet.
there's that crescent-moon tail i was talking about.
"I do not like pictures!"
little wigglies.
i took this one AFTER i cleaned the glass.
gratuitous otto cuteness.
