Good Beginner Beer

Why start drinking now?
 
Don't go cheap, nothing is worse than a cheap beer.... anything American that you can see through aloso qaulifies as a waste of time... you might as well drink water if you want to drink american.
 
I bet you would like hard cider, woodchuck. Gotta back up those Yuengling lager lovers though, its my beer of choice.
 
If you have the means... a Black & Tan is a great beer/beverage.
Half a pint of Bass (or Harps), and half a pint of Guiness. Bass on bottom, Guiness on top.
The separation of the two beers looks cool in the pint glass, and it tastes awesome!

Those light beers still facilitate alcoholism without all the weight gain.
 
Out of all this no one mentioned Mirror Pond? It'd be one with a little less punch but with a nice flavor. Other than that Dos Exquis would be good with a little more kick
