Yes.
There isn't much to disagree with. They have graphs with well substantiated evidence saying these things. Scientists are in concurrence on global warming. There is no controversy-it's just people tooting their horns and trying to pretend as if there is. There were actually people forging and twisting data in the bush administration to fudge environmental facts, until there was a huge outcry about it that thousands of scientists spoke out against. You can look it up. The columbia web page links to a lot of information. Yale is conservative, they are yale, and I linked to what they have to say, too.
Whoops: Nihilism argues that existence is pointless and futile, and attempts to create an angst about it. Aka, what's the point in doing anything? Why don't we just die?
I'm not going to just die. There is a ton of stuff for me to have fun with and things that will make me grow and make life completely worth it, even if the sun is going to engulf us all in the future. Similarly, arguing that whatever we do is pointless and meaningless is pointless and meaningless when it comes to global climate change. So, we're just going to push the earth into a period of mass starvation and die off, with a bonus destruction of future generations, because on a global time scale it won't matter? Not to mention the fact that no other species really had a say in the matter. There are plenty of reasons the global ecosystem is worth saving, not in the least because it will save something amazing and save us.
