Jay. I don't know if your looking to add to your school of Columbians, but Petco has them on special this week (at least mine did) 5 for $5
Thanks. I got about 23 in the tank and they spawned. Surprisingly you'd think a 180g would be a large enough tank for these fish but adult Columbian tetras get a decent size and they don't seem to care to be in the plants just in open space. Two things I find weird with these tetras maybe it just mine but when I had schools of rummy noses and cardinals they were all over the place. 1.) annoying - they love attacking at the surface and will swarm at feeding splashing all over the place (they have managed to hit me at over an 18" distance while sitting at my sofa...LOL) 2.) They are not very active they just seem to stop swimming and seem to just be suspended in water except for the quick spat every once in a while and at feeding.
This reminds me I have to get the hood back on the tank...LOL
Did you pick any up?
Love the tank thread, looks great, just read through the whole thing
Bucephalandra are a plant I know nothing about, only having seen the name several times, lol. From what I've googled, they look cool! Good luck & keep us posted on their growth (slow for all?) Some easier than others? Oh, & could you take a closer pic please? I can't see them well enough...I know they must be babies but...we want more!
I was tempted but I saw how big they got in your 180 and I only have a few 20h's set up right now. I thought better of it and passed
